This simple hexagon is designed to be combined with my snowflake hexagon patterns to make a larger piece, such as a blanket, afghan, shawl, etc. This pattern uses U.S. terminology (with UK equivalents in parentheses) and includes detailed stitch instructions. A stitch diagram is included.
Skill Level: Advanced beginner. Stitches and techniques used: sl st, ch, dc, needle join (aka invisible join).
Size: 12” (30.5 cm) from point to point across center, 20 sts along ea side.
Tools: 5.0 mm hook, scissors, yarn needle.
Materials: 1.4 oz worsted-weight yarn for each hexagon. Samples shown use about 75 yards each of Red Heart Super Saver Solids in Soft Navy and Light Blue.
Gauge: 13 sts and 7 rows in 4” (10 cm).
