CROCHET PATTERN: Five Hex and Half-Hex Designs in one Pattern

Find all these designs in one pattern in my Etsy shop.

Here is a collection of single-color hexagon and half-hexagon motifs that can be joined together to make totes, scarves, shawls, throws, curtains, or blankets. All motifs are turned after every round, thus making them reversible. All joins are worked at the points, making the seams nearly invisible.

These patterns are written using a single color of yarn, with no color changes. However, these designs would be equally as stunning with color-changing yarn or with purposeful color changes placed where the fiber artist desires.

Skill level. Easy.

Techniques. Slip stitch, chain, single crochet, double crochet, stacked double crochet, half-double crochet, joining at the points, turning after joining each row or round, needle join (aka invisible join).

Tools. H/8 – 5.0 mm hook, yarn needle, stitch markers, and scissors.

Yarn. Approximately 1.7 oz / 89 yds (48 g / 81 m) medium weight (#4) yarn for each hexagon. Approximately 0.8 oz / 42 yds (23 g / 38 m) for each half hexagon.
