






This pattern expands on Perky Posy I, an applique worked in light weight (#3) yarn. Perky Posy II includes the flower, plus two versions of a background square, worked in medium weight (#4) yarn. The flower by itself can be used as an applique on other projects.

Size. Flower: 4.75” diameter (12 cm). Square: 6” x 6” (15.24 cm x 15.24 cm)
Skill level. Intermediate.
Stitches and techniques. Slip stitch, chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, picot, standing stitches, changing colors, needle join (aka invisible join), working in joined rounds, and joining in the corner of a square.
Tools. G/6 (4.25 mm) hook, scissors, and yarn needle.
Yarn. Approximately 1.1 oz / 57 yds (32 g / 52 m) medium weight (#4) yarn. In photos: Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton.
