These colors evoke images of fireworks, lemonade, and watermelon! Celebrate any occasion with this easy, quick project. Makes a great gift for yourself or someone else.

I’ve divided this tutorial into two separate videos: Part 1  and Part 2.

Part 1 includes a section on “Single Crochet Tips and Tricks,” working back and forth in rows, counting stitches, and more.

Part 2 covers changing colors, carrying yarn, and the invisible join (aka needle join).

Both videos list timestamps in the description field, so you can easily move around from place to place in the video.

Finished Measurements: 7.0” x 7.0” (18 cm x 18 cm).

Skill Level: Easy.

Stitches: Chain, single crochet, slip stitch.

Techniques: Single crochet in rows, mitered rows, border worked in the round, invisible join (aka needle join).

Tools: I-9 (5.5 mm) hook, yarn needle, scissors, and one st marker.

Yarn: Medium-weight (#4) yarn. Cotton yarn is suggested for a dishcloth. Photo above shows Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton in Royalty, Red, and White.
